APP: New Google “Cloud” Music Service

If you’re a “googlehead,”  chances are… you’ve been beta testing the new Google Music “cloud” service for some time.   How does it work?  You sign up for a google music account, get a music uploader, and upload your music (up to 20,000 songs) to your cloud.  Then, you stream your music to your android or desktop for FREE! –>

Also, you’ll soon see the Music Store open on the android market.  There are a ton of free songs available… BUT, you have to enter your credit card info.  You’ll soon be able to buy songs from the Android Market on your device.  You can NOW buy the music from your desktop computer. –>

New Market Feature: Install Apps From Desktop

Have you always wished there was an easier way to retrieve apps you once downloaded?

The Android Market now has a feature called “My Library” which you can view on your desktop computer browser, and then you can click to “reinstall” the apps with one click!

I used to do the same thing, by browsing the android market with my “google chrome” browser, then click the “chrome to phone” browser app… which would then send the link to my “chrome to phone” app on the android phone.  Yeah, too many steps in that process… Now simplified.  Thank you google.

Like the Android Marketplace?

I’m loving the new Marketplace for Android.

#1 reasonbetter app discovery.  The market now further categorizes apps under two headings “games” and “applications.”  From there you can choose exactly what you’re looking for… Like, if your into “arcade and action” games… Or, “book” and “shopping” under applications.  Also, there is the editor’s choice apps, where you can find a ton of cool applications.

Stylish new interface adding colors and GIANT ads for movies and paid applications.  Yes, you can now pay $2.99 to watch a new release on your tiny phone screen… Or, your television if you’re rocking an HDMI cable connected to your Motorola Milestone X.
