Android Users: Make Sure Your Contacts are on Google

Motorola’s recent release of a software update for the Motorola Milestone X may cause issues if you are not syncing your contacts to Google.  Like, you could lose all of your contacts…

All Android useres should make sure your contacts are stored on google, if you lose your phone, you have to replace your phone… you’re not hand typing in all of your contacts.

Here’s a step by step guide on the Motorola Milestone X update.

Motorola Milestone X 2 Update

ATTENTION Milestone X 2 customers!!!  There may be a 2.3 Gingerbread update for your device available TODAY.   This update will fix minor bug issues, screen freezing, and power cycling.


Before doing the update make sure you back up your contacts onto your SD Card by doing the following:

Back Up Contacts:

Contacts>Menu>Import/Export contacts>Export contacts to SD card

If your contacts are not visable , you can import you contacts by doing the following: 

Contacts>Menu>Import/Export contacts>Import contacts from SD card

MotoX Users: BACK UP CONTACTS B4 Update!

ATTENTION MILESTONE X CUSTOMERS!!!

There is a new software release 2.3 update for the Motorola Milestone X.  If you see that there is an update available, please do the following to make sure that you are able to keep all of your contacts.

Syncing your Google contacts
-Go to settings
-Select accounts
Select your Google account
-Make sure CONTACTS is checked (You should see a syncing process next to the check box)

Exporting your contacts to your SD Card
-Go to your contacts
-Press the Menu Button
-Press on Import/Export
-Press on Export contacts to: SD CARD

To update your phone
-Go to settings
-Press on About Phone
-Press on System Updates

To import your contacts (IF NEEDED)
-Go to contacts
-Press the menu button
-Press on Import/Export
-Press on Import contacts from: SD Card
